Pec will meet tomorrow pm to discuss revamped document and make decision on this week's strikes then.

They had better not. The 2007 agreement saw these subhuman bosses we have, plus this vile Liebour government, gang together in an effort, a very serious effort, to destroy this union, and therefore, destroy our jobs.

question for you......our independent scrutineers...where did they work before doing the job for the CWU????

If they sell us out again we have to push as one to get the whole lot of those running the union out on their arses, vote of no confidence & get some people in that do have a set of danglies. I was at a meeting of reps after 2007 & I had never heard so much drivel spouted by a PEC rep of why it was accepted as a great deal

The history of the CWU from what I know of it, seems to be that of people becoming dissatisfied with their leaders and PEC members and replacing them with ones they think will be better only for the next lot to turn out to sign similar rubbish deals.

Anyway right now the 'sell out' hasn't quite happened. At the moment we can do everything we can to let the PEC know that many of us will be extremely angry if they call off the strikes and that they may lose their positions unless they can tell us they voted against calling off the strikes.

a depressing but sadly true post....second your thoughts on letting the PEC know how members are feeling...but will they listen?

They were at the TUC till past midnight and have resumed at 8 30 today no deal has been reached and the PEC will meet at 12. Yes there is still time for a deal to be reached but time is slipping away and the way the PEC meeting go in regards to questions and amendments I certainly wouldt want to put money on the strike being called off.

Managers in our mail centre appeared to be putting all their strike action preparations in today, saw some contingency plan e-mails I think the strikes are still on.

Our managers gave a good few saturday off and told them to work their day off thurs/fri instead. BUT today told them to keep their saturdays as they`ll be working as normal !

As long as we dont get the old £400 bonus carrot. The morons will bite Royal Mails arem off for it. Whilst long termers will lose out big time and the public wont understand our refusal to accept it. Just let us do our job for a desent wage. Please.
