Re: TALKS UPDATE
Thanks Lovejoy,
you suggested earlier that talks weren't neccesarily progressing, does this mean a deal is close?

Re: TALKS UPDATE
Just waiting to hear that the basis of more fundamental talks has been agreed along with strikes being called off.
Then Billy and Adam will stand shoulder to shoulder and announce substantive talks over the next couple of months.
Then in January RM will walk away knowing that the Christmas period is over and they can do what they want.
It will probally play out just as detailed in the leaked document!

Re: TALKS UPDATE
If we don't like what we hear, we don't have to end our dispute.
Any agreement reached by our negotiators, that does not address the misery faced by thousands of postal workers working to their time, but faced with lazy incompetent managers, hell-bent on getting those postal workers to absorb more work, while said managers laze around the office doing diddly squat, must be immediately thrown back in their faces.
I work every hour I'm paid, I cannot do more, I will fully expect my union to stamp out the practice of my DIM coming up to me and insisting I can do more, I feckin' well cannot.
Get it right, Hayes, Ward.

Meanwhile, Royal Mail and union leaders are continuing a second day of talks at the TUC aimed at averting more strikes.
Royal Mail and the union executive were briefed by their negotiating teams late afternoon, with talks set to continue into the evening.
The CWU has announced that their executive will meet to discuss what has been put on the table early Wednesday afternoon.
They will then decide whether to continue with the new strikes or call them off.

Re: TALKS UPDATE
Keep up the pressure until we get an agreement that we want, do not call off the strikes.
If Union negotiators are reading this they must know the mood of the grassroots, no let up whatsoever, do not play into their hands, one customer actually said to me, nail them to the wall, don't give up, you have too much to lose.
