DX taking advantage of the possible strike
http://www.thedx.co.uk/aboutus/rmstrike/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
DX are cashing in on the possible strike. Thats more work handed over to our competitors!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Are you prepared for a Royal Mail Strike?
Rely on DX to keep your Business in Business.
If you depend on the reliable arrival and collection of your business mail, you will no doubt be concerned that the CWU has opened a ballot for a national mail strike by Royal Mail workers. The results of the ballot are expected to be announced around 9th October which means strikes could commence as early as mid-October.
How you will deliver on the promises you make your customers at this key economic time if a national strike starts in October?
DX is the only independent mail operator that doesn’t reply on the Royal Mail infrastructure for any part of our service, so you can trust us to provide you with a reliable, uninterrupted service for your next day business mail – something we have done for over 30 years.
If you are already a DX Member – make sure you’re prepared and check out our top tips guide to get the most out of your DX service.
■Use DX Directory Services to find out if your contacts are already one of the 25,000 DX members you can mail
■Use SecureDX – a secure, tracked next day delivery service to the majority of UK business and residential addresses – as an alternative to Royal Mail Special Delivery to reach non-DX members
■Make sure you have enough labels and pouches by ordering your supplies now
To get more advice on getting the best out of your DX service please call your account manager who will be only happy to help you.
If you are not already a DX Member and want to find out how you can rely on us to keep your business in business during a Royal Mail strike complete our enquiry form to request more information or simply call 0845 277 511.

I'll put this into news DOM,that's 2 CUSTOMER related news item you've found now,you trying to tell us summin.
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: DX taking advantage of the possible strike
Management should wave the white flag of surrender then, shouldn't they. If your a London DIM, you'll know full well that the game is almost certainly up for you, won't you. I mean, just how much of a backlog can you handle, not that I really care, like.

I guess the backlog will be easier to clear when our customers turn their backs on us.DirtyHarry wrote:Management should wave the white flag of surrender then, shouldn't they. Then RM had better start making an effort with the negotiations then. Before we loose too many Customers, hadn't they?DOM wrote:I guess the backlog will be easier to clear when our customers turn their backs on us.DirtyHarry wrote:Management should wave the white flag of surrender then, shouldn't they. Ah yes ... this is the same DX company that leaves catalogues, journals and other mail of that nature by the front door of shops and businesses in my area that are not open and have no letterbox ...

I don't run the site, it but do you really want to bring in censorship just because we disagree with a posters comments. If we did that there are a few posters on here who would have gone long ago.stodgy88 wrote:what the f==k is a advert for the competition doing on here ,whoever runs this website WAKEUP,
DOM along with others does not agree with us striking, and that is their right. But to date I have not heard a cohesive argument why we should accept the current situation and for that I am disappointed, but I do understand that some people on here don't want to hear both sides and that disappoints me even more. I agree with the strike call and I think my position is strong enough to stand up to counter arguments and I just wish others thought the same.
If we introduce censorship based on whether we agree with the comments or not that would make us become very unbalanced and boring as we would only here one side of the arguments. Now we do censor posts that abuse individuals, promote hate or break the rules and that is as it should be.

I wouldn't panic ,DX are tiny minnows with big cash flow headaches, 1,687 staff nationwide. Taken a massive hit with the collapse of the housing market . Time sensitive legal documents relating to house sales were their big earner...pooofff

Re: DX taking advantage of the possible strike
Well, bless my soul, a tiny company like DX trying to take on the industry giant that is Royal Mail, you have to admire their stupidity. A tuppeny hapenny outfit like DX should know it's limitations.BELIAL wrote:I wouldn't panic ,DX are tiny minnows with big cash flow headaches, 1,687 staff nationwide. Re: DX taking advantage of the possible strike
Well to be fair to DX Harry, although they are in comparison to RM a one man band,They are the ONE and ONLY letters delivery operator in the UK apart from RM
Lets do the maths, 23,000,000 postal addresses ,1,687 staff ,say for ease of calculation 687 admin, management ,sorting, marketing, network, tech = 1000 delivery staff .
Must have big frames if one walk does 23,000 drops, wonder if they do lapsing?
Oh bugger think the 1687 staff cover Ireland as well as the UK,things are looking tough for our DX brothers
