County braced for postal strike tomorrow

Postal deliveries across Oxfordshire are set to be disrupted tomorrow, with workers at the area’s main sorting office due to strike for 24 hours.

Union bosses confirmed staff at the Swindon depot, which now deals with mail for Oxford, would stop work from 4am tomorrow until 4am on Thursday over a range of local and national issues.

The strike will affect both the sorting of mail and its transport from the Wiltshire site, which took over from the Oxford mail centre just four months ago.

A national ballot for strike action will also take place on September 9 and further local strikes are planned for next week.

I bet thats shut up the people who said they could'nt wait for Oxfords mail to be moved to Swindon because of the previous strikes
