North Wales Police investigating theft of Post Boxes

North Wales Police are investigating the theft of a number of post boxes form the Mold area

POLICE are investigating the theft of a number of valuable old post boxes from the Mold, Nercwys and Treuddyn areas.

The Royal Mail boxes are considered collector’s items by some, due to the old type ER on them, and could either have been stolen to sell on or intended for scrap metal.

A Royal Mail spokesman said: “Thankfully the theft of posting boxes is relatively rare.

“We would urge anyone with information regarding the thefts at locations in Mold, Treuddyn and Nercwys, to contact police on 0845 607 1002.”

“We apologise for any post which has gone missing.”

scrap value my arce... similar thread was up a few months ago... either look on ebay (joke) or being taken to order. nobody with an ounce of intelligence from mold would dare use them as garden ornamnents. they would get sussed straight away. probably they're in someone's garden 300 miles away, repainted. suburbia.
and here comes avi cohen! oh i say! at the same end, he's got one back!!
