London keep calling
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Re: London out again Fri & Sat
Postman sorry mate but all 12000 thousand postal workers in London will be taking some form of action over the next seven days.
Tomorrow East London Mail Centre and Mount Plesant will be out on strike along with EC Deliveries and Nine Elms VOC , East London VOC , Greenford VOC and PRDC VOC. Some of our Hubs will also be taking strike action. Nine Elms Mail centre will be taking strike action for part duty till Friday.
On Wednesday our RDCs will be out on stike and East London delivery offices will be out on for two hours from start of duty.
On Thursday North London , East London will be taking part action.
On Friday , South East , East London , North West , North London and west London will be taking strike action for part of their duty.
On Saturday South East , South West apart from SW1, SW3 and SW7 , North West and West London will be taking strike action.
W1 and WC will be taking strike action from 10 00 on Friday until start of duty on Tuesday.
North West London will be taking strike action on Monday, as will SW1 , SW3 and SW7
and North London will be taking strike action next tuesday.
All London Branch`s are meeting tomorrow to discuss further action including a demo at the Labour Party HQ , at Unite the union .
Plus where is Biily in the worst dispute in living memory surely he cant still be on a lap of honour over the defeat of privitiasation.
That is an hollow victory compared to the attacks which we face from Royal Mail and the so called Labour Governement who has backed them to the hilt.
I dont normally slag people off personally as its not my style but some of our members are putting themselves on the line in defence of this union and deserve support from all the officers at HQ and from the whole of the CWU and in my view that is not what is happening and it must stop now.

Too true, We are all facing attacks inside and outside London.
My office is under attack , we're waiting on a IA ballot to be approved, we're getting lapsing letters for not doing more even though our jobs are upto and over the allotted time.
And everytime I check the CWU website - NOTHING !

After 2007, I wouldn't expect any up-to-date info on the CWU Website. You're better off getting your info from here.Cut Off King wrote:Dingo wrote : Plus where is Biily in the worst dispute in living memory surely he cant still be on a lap of honour over the defeat of privitiasation.

Re: London keep calling
Yes, Andy. It should not be that way at all! The CWU site should be updated on a daily basis and an abridged report of PEC meetings etc should be made available for all members to view. I, like every member of this site, are thankful that the RMC site is here. It provides a valuable source of reliable and up-to-date information that I can feed to fellow members at my DO.
I would suggest that one reason for the delay in other branches etc joining the IA, is that the majority of Units look to, and expect, leadership from the top. CWU HQ have rightly been shamed into action by London, Scotland and elsewhere of that there is no doubt. The least HQ can do is get up to speed, instruct Div, Area and Unit Reps to set up meetings in preparation for a nationwide ballot. The facts behind the current IA are well-known and it is disgraceful that, for a 'communications' union the communication from HQ to rank and file members is abysmal.
Dingo is right to question the 'victory' over privatisation. All that has done is delay the inevitable. The focus should always have been on the way RM is currently forcing its own agenda through to the detriment of its workforce, its customers and the business as a whole.
