Dalkeith out.

Post by Barry Trotter »

Heard today that the good people of Dalkeith delivery office in Midlothian have walked out on unnofficial action. They are protesting against unacceptable Summer lapsing (This bit I cannot confirm as I havent personally spoken with anyone from the Dalkeith office). I did see three Managers who were moaning about being drafted out to Dalkeith this afternoon, from Central Edinburgh. :Boo hoo!

Yeah most of them are on gardening leave with full pay. Just one big holiday for them until they get back.

They stayed out today with managers from all around coming in to do our work i.e. scab a form of words has been put together where both parties understand each others postion this will be put to the members tomorrow for a return to work. My own opoion is this will be an easy truce which will not last and the Scotland No.2 area is on the brink of a major bout of indusrial action both offical and unoffical. We have called an emergency STRIKE meeting for next Tuesday amided at the reps but open to all
Meeting Tuesay 30th June 3.30pm CWU Scotland No.2 premises Brunswick Street Edinburgh

Thanks once again Gary for the update. I did wonder because I had a bill when I got home so one of them must have been round here.
