A TRADITIONAL red Royal Mail post box has been stolen from Wolverley.
The post box, made from wrought iron and attached to a black metal stand, was taken from Kingsford Lane between 12.25pm on Monday and 1pm on Tuesday.
A police spokesman said: “The post box may well have had mail inside it when it was dragged out of the ground and stolen and we are appealing to anyone with information about the theft to pass this on to us as soon as they can.
“We also want local people to be aware that any mail posted into the box after 12.25pm on Monday 1 June will not have been collected and so will not reach the intended recipient.”
Anyone with concerns over missing mail can contact Raymond Williams, delivery office manager at the Post Office, directly on 01562 623021.
Anyone with information regarding the stolen post box is asked to call Kidderminster police on 0300 333 3000 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
