Postie Couple Gearing up for a marathon challenge

A PAIR of Blackwell runners are appealing for help as they step up to the challenge of an American marathon.

Paul Davies, aged 45, and Sharon Townley, 38, will be running the Boston Marathon to raise funds for Cancer Research UK.

When Paul takes part in the event, which is the world’s oldest annual marathon, on Monday, April 20, it will be his 19th marathon run.

The pair have been training for the event for months, both running 50 miles a week, and they hope to raise £500.

Paul and Sharon also work together at Royal Mail, which has promised to match their fundraising efforts.

“I would be grateful for any monetary donation. Every little helps and it all adds up for this worthwhile cause,” said Paul.
