POSTAL workers in Huddersfield claim they were bullied into taking on extra town centre delivery routes.
They say they initially refused the sudden request because they were not trained on the routes, but gave in after being threatened with the sack.
Their union, the CWU, has a national agreement with Royal Mail about flexible working.
This case is just one in a long line of postal disputes over the past few years.
What effect are these rows having on the service provided to customers?
Can posties really give 100% to their jobs if they are worried, demoralised or feeling under threat?
Royal Mail says it wants efficiency – but it may struggle to get commitment from an unhappy workforce.
It needs to resolve its industrial relations problems once and for all and get back to delivering what customers really care about – a good postal service.
