MORE protests are planned by Royal Mail workers as they battle to reinstate five colleagues who were sacked over bullying claims.
About eight staff staged a two-hour protest outside the Leek Road depot yesterday morning.
The Communication Workers' Union is calling for five people sacked from the Burslem delivery depot to be reinstated after a bitter row stretching back to September 2007.
Lee Barron, Midlands Regional Secretary of the CWU, would not reveal where and when the protests would take place but said workers could be balloted over strike action.
He said: "There are more protests planned. We will be appearing at an office near you soon. We want some commitments from Royal Mail that if decisions from the tribunals are in our members' favour then they will agree to reinstatement."
Mr Barron said the union would be prepared to ballot workers over strike action in supported of sacked colleagues.
A spokesman for Royal Mail said: "All cases are being handled in accordance with our conduct procedures which are agreed with the CWU.
"The threat of further disruption helps nobody."

Except for the victims, who would otherwise be forgotten by the public. Keeping these types of cases in the public conciousness, exposes the way that RM are mistreating them.
