More time to quiz Craigs murder suspects

Police have been granted more time to question nine people arrested in Birmingham over the fatal shooting of a post office worker in Worcestershire.

Craig Hodson-Walker, 29, was shot in the chest at Fairfield Post Office and Store, in Fairfield, on Friday morning.

Four people are being questioned on suspicion of murder and attempted murder while five are being held on suspicion of assisting an offender.

Magistrates have told police they can question them until Friday morning.

Reward offered

The five men and four women are being held at stations across Worcestershire and the West Midlands.

Mr Hodson-Walker, who had got engaged at Christmas, had been in the post office when three men wearing balaclavas and armed with a handgun and a sledgehammer walked in.

He was shot dead by the robbers and his father Ken, 56, who is the store manager, was shot in the leg.

A reward of £50,000 has been offered by the Post Office.
