THE possible transfer of Crewe Sorting Office's services to Warrington raises several questions. What guarantees have Royal Mail given about the quality of services if this occurs?
There are examples of such "rationalisations" causing problems, such as those I witnessed on election night waiting for postal votes to arrive.
All those with a CW postcode will be potentially affected by such a transfer of services.
It is another example of remote national government making decisions with little regard for consequences locally. The increase of emissions from those commuting to keep their jobs will be significant, as will the increased congestion.
