ADAM TO VISIT ROYAL MAIL SORTING OFFICE AS IT GEARS UP FOR CHRISTMAS RUSH
Brian Adam, MSP for Aberdeen North will visit Royal Mail's Bridge of Don Delivery Office this Friday (28th).

Mr Adam will meet manager Scott Robertson as well as the postmen and women who will ensure that Christmas Cards and presents are delivered to the doors of North East homes on time.

Mr Adam said:

"The work and dedication shown by the members of staff at this time of year to ensure that we get our post in time is something we all appreciate, and I look forward to seeing how preparations are coming along for this years Christmas rush.

"With more and more of our Christmas shopping leaving the hustle and bustle of the high street, and being carried out online, demand on delivery services will continue to increase. I have personally spent many a December morning picking up packages from the Bridge of Don office, it will be an eye opener to see behind the scenes this year.

Mr Adam continued:

"We can all help Scott and his team of posties by ensuring we post our cards and present early. The deadline this year for First Class mail is the 20th of December and for Second Class the 18th."

So he recognises that mail is increasing.

Do you know for one second there I thought Adam Crozier was going to get off his arse and actually meet some postal workers !!!

But only the ones who like to appear in the Courier, he wouldn't talk to normal Postmen, not enough time to listen to us complaining :)
