A retired postal worker says the postal service in Weymouth is failing.
He says important mail arrived late and is asking whether other residents have had similar experiences.
Is it just Westham or is it Weymouth generally that has a rubbish post delivery service?
From August Bank Holiday to September 11 we had post on only one day.
On Monday (September 14) we had 10 items including two utility bills, two bank statements and a birthday card.
All expected and all late.
Turns out that for one utility bill the deadline to pay had expired.
If the Weymouth Delivery Office Manager (DOM) claims there is no deterioration in the service they are sadly mistaken.
I am a retired postal worker and I know how the system should work and currently in Weymouth it is not working.
The DOM may well be breaking rules that existed 15 years ago.
The exorbitant price of stamps is not worth the service we are getting and they should be reduced.
Yet another example where privatisation has resulted in a deteriorating service
