Good news week for Bristol posties

Seems it's good news all round for Bristol posties at the moment,the Bristol 3 are no more with all of them getting their jobs back,more recently Kay Gibbs after a year long fight with Royal Mail,previously Colin Tucker and Paula Franklin had won their cases to be reinstated as well.

Now singing postman Dean Farnell is proving a hit in America and other countries with 23 radio stations playing his latest track Ghost on the Stairs.

Dean a postie for 3 year discovered a new talent last year after teaching himself to play the guitar and beginning to write his own lyrics.He admits to not having a great voice, but says he uses his quirkiness and fun lyrics to get around that.

The first track he recorded shortly before the end of last year was Why Don't Christmas Go Away, closely followed by 12 Days of Christmas (Divorce Version). He went on to write Halloween and 666, which reached the Tourdates UK top 40 unsigned artists' charts and in May this year recorded a song about Simon Cowell.

With Halloween approaching once again, Dean has penned another song, Ghost on the Stairs. He said 23 radio stations in the US have been blasting the song across the airwaves, including 55 Online Radio New York, Halloween Radio and KBFD Radio Sunset Beach. It has also been played on Soundwave Radio in New Zealand and Happy Smoker Trax in Denmark. Dean said: "My latest song Ghost on the Stairs was recorded only last month and to date 23 radio stations, mainly based in the USA, have agreed to include the song on their show or play lists.

"The song itself was written about a true life experience my mother had 50 years ago when an apparition walked straight past her on the stairs and straight through a locked front door."

The track will soon be released on the Ditto/Eden record label.
