Today's I.D.S. letter, in layman's terms please.

Post by BenacreNick »

Today's IDS letter to all "share-holders", is this just a notice of intent to attempt a possible takeover ?
(I think 1 offer has already been rejected).

Could someone explain in simple layman's terms, if I have misunderstood the contents of the letter.

Much appreciated.

Think even the government won’t let a full takeover by a foreign company

Normally a take over results in shares going up in price, a failed takeover share price drops alot (due to all the gamblers at the stock exchange)

Anyone going to attempt answering the original query ? Usually have a few relevant comments before launching off with tangents.

More than 50% of the company is already owned by foreign entities.

You're thinking of other governments. Over here we lead the way in flogging off national assets to other countries' state enterprises.
Any Questions?
Yeah, how do I get out of this chickenshit outfit?
