A North Yorkshire postman has made a killing as the winner of a short horror film competition.
Paul Shrimpton, from Thirsk, won £5,000 in TV channel Zone Horror's CUT! short film competition.
Made on a budget of £40, Hung Up stars Ozan Duzgoren as a man tied up in knots after his girlfriend is murdered.
The amateur filmmaker collected his prize at a special screening during the FrightFest film festival.
Film director and competition Judge Lloyd Kaufman, who has worked with stars including as Kevin Costner and Samuel L Jackson, said: "This movie is well written, well shot and has a great special effect."
