Mail office to close in April
THE Royal Mail delivery office in Goring will close next month.


After the closure, all letters will be sorted at and delivered from either Pangbourne or Henley.

All mail with postcodes RG8 9** will be sorted and delivered from Pangbourne and mail with postcodes RG8 0** will be delivered from Henley.

Deliveries may be later than at present due to the changes.

For larger or other items which need to be collected, collection will still be from the Pangbourne office, which is open Monday to Friday 8am to 10am and 8am to noon on Saturdays.

The post box near the Arcade will become the late collection box as the late collection box (from 4pm) at the sorting office is now sealed.

Time plates on all the other post boxes will be switched to the early collection time of 9am.

Perhaps not just "later" in the day but a few days or a week later if all the Goring posties don't transfer or they're already short staffed at Pangbourne and Henley.
