THE collection point in Dunfermline for donations to help earthquake survivors in Turkey and Syria has been suspended.
A total of 35 crates of items were filled at the city's Royal Mail sorting office since the centre was set up last Wednesday, February 8.
Clothes, baby items, and hygiene essentials were just some of the things needed to help those who had lost their homes.
The charity behind the Turkey Earthquake Appeal has now stopped accepting donations while items are processed.
Teams have made daily aid shipments to the earthquake zone since February 10 via Turkish Airlines.
It is understood that once tent cities are established more items will be urgently needed.
Garry Haldane, who organised the collection point, has thanked the people of Dunfermline for their huge generosity.
He says that things which are immediately needed now are new generators and new family size winter tents.
