A SINGING postman has achieved chart success on the web.

Dean Farnell, of South Road, Weston, has seen four of his tracks achieve places in the top 10 of two popular sites for unsigned artistes.

The 45-year-old recorded his first CD Why Don't Christmas Go Away (I'm bored with the Wizard of Oz) last year which received great media attention and was played on a number of American and British radio stations.

This month, his song called Simon Cowell, which he produced just days before, made it to number six in the chart of www.tourdates.co.uk alongside Halloween, which made number three and 666 at number nine.

His songs have a quirky and fun edge. He said: "666 is all about what I would say to the Devil if we ever met. I would ask him why he took away the loved icons such as Elvis, Lennon, Diana and Sinatra. In the song I blend the famous names with my grandparents who have passed away as a tribute to them all."

At the same time Dean also had success at the site www.BritBand.com where his song 666 was charted at number five and another song U.S.TV Cops was at number eight.
