So, if I've read this right then ATOS doctors were exaggerating the symptoms so that they wouldn't get any complaints (which they'd get fined for) which is the complete opposite of what happens to us.

Perhaps people who have been dismissed on Medical grounds and believe they have a case for wrongful dismissal could sue ATOS instead of Royal Mail, that would make ATOS be more careful and lean less towards RM decisions and more towards medical care.

Surely the point of being a doctor is to cure the sick. If someone is ill and unable to work then even if they are being pressurised by their 'employers' to meet targets, they still have a duty of care to the patient. If they are not providing the level of care that they were trained (at our expense) to do, then they should be struck off.

You are either a doctor or not. If they are then they should remember the Hippocratic oath they have taken and not some target set by a non-medical employer.

This is just another example of the policies of the caring Labour party, looking after the interests of the working man. Well, if the working man earns over £50k or makes anonymous donations to secure a knighthood, or runs a big business.

It's on the front page of The Daily Express too .I remember somebody from RM woffling on about "incentives " & targets but of course RM didn't mention penalties re ATOS

Members have made complaints to the General Medical Council , it's common corporate practice to have a extended arm of by "outsourcing " in case of litigation and somebody to blame instead of taking responsibilty when it goes t*ts up .

i've always said a 10 minute appointment with a doctor who is supposed to be a so called specialist in everything, its bulls**t.
my wife has osteoarthritis and fibromyalgia (chronic fatigue) she's only 27 and has suffered from it for last 5years.
they wont pay her anything they wont even pay her national insurance contributions, they say she's to young to have both of them.
even though she's had a MRI and has seen god knows how many specialists who agree.

plenty of Ambulance chasing solicitors looking for work -no win/no fee misdiagnosis claims etc -there's NHS staff that are terrified of litigation -that's why they pay for indeminity insurance and dues to the RCN or BMA

Staff have taken RM to court and won on DDA issues
