The threat of a national strike by postal workers is expected to come a step closer today when the results of a ballot are announced.

Members of the Communication Workers Union (CWU) have been voting on proposed changes to their pensions.
These include closing the final salary scheme to new entrants.
The union is expecting workers to reject the proposals, leading to calls for industrial action.
A meeting is being held today to hear details of the ballot result and decide on the next move for the union and its members.
Last week the Royal Mail announced changes to its pension scheme and they will take effect from today following "extensive" talks with unions.
Jon Millidge, the interim human resources director, said: "Changes are unavoidable given increasing longevity and the higher costs of providing the current pension plan."
New Royal Mail staff will be able to start paying into a new pension plan after they have worked for the company for a year.
The CWU has denounced the consultation process and insists there has been no agreement on the changes.
