One question amongst many others we've asked on here is because we post up lots of RM news stories and a lot of them seem to be about 'Postie theft' are we turning into a bunch of thieves.
Well i'm glad to say that even though the stories seem more regular,it is not the case.
Royal Mail and us seem to be doing something right,which is good news all round.

Despite the perception,crime is actually going down.
Only 3.4% of intentional delay and mail theft cases are commited by agency employees.
External crime against RM is down significantly on 2006/7,with a drop every month so far.
The value of card fraud from mail interceptions has fallen by£40.M in 2005 to £ 10.2M in 2007.Which is an all time low.
The number of suspects investigated by our security team for theft of mail and intentional delay dropped slightly in 2007.While the number of recoveries was almost half that of the previous year.
Royal Mail are pleased with the results so far and so they should be.But no doubt it could be better.
