Didn't watch it, cos I thought it'd be a hatchet job - everything else has been for umpteen months - and the wife wanted the gadget show ....anyhoo, having read the comments here, I looked at Panorama's web page and they have a lengthy article about tonight's edition,

Lord Sawyer, who reported on the gulf between them nearly 10 years ago, says little has changed.

"The Royal Mail are going to be the last people who move forward into modern times from an industrial relations point of view," he said. (poster's underlining)

I found the last comments very telling indeed - RM, not CWU being blamed for IR

If Crozier, Tolhurst, Higson et al come out with the same bullsh*t often enough they convince themselves that it is true. The Panorama programme exposed the reality ... much like Pegasus itself, RMs claims are a figment of their imagination, bearing little or no relation to the real world of processing and delivery of items of mail.

I doubt they'd do it overtly - but if they do want to punish him, they'll either stich him up for some cobblers ( dodgy if he went to IT - "I went on Panorama and then the screws victimised me" ) or they'd go down the Roger Annies route & shove him in the Room of Doom for the rest of his natural

What Tolhurst should do is invite panorama back to film him doing that postmans delivery in three'n'half hours walking at 4 mph and completing it.That would prove we're all idle posties who dont want to work the hours paid.
Big for the programme makers,hope most of my customers watched it.
