Royal Mail Dispute - Latest
A fresh round of talks between Royal Mail and the union commenced
yesterday and lasted for a few hours. Those talks recommenced at 5
o'clock today (Thursday).
The union remains committed to negotiating an agreement.
Please dont be fooled into believing 4pm thats it were off, they think were all going to except this crap just because they have taken four days pay in one go off of us, well i for one couldnt give a Toss we new we were losing 4 days anyway.
They must think we are easily pleased ? wrong keep the rolling strikes going

Royal Mail have stated that if deal is not made by 4pm on Friday they will withdraw from talks.
I think its a mistake to uncouple pensions this dispute is the best chance of getting a good deal. Do you think that we could manage a dispute solely on pensions in the future?
I think its dangerous and could cost us a lot in the long run.

Seems to me that setting up working groups is just a delaying tactic to get through the Xmas pressure period, and then in January Bull***t and Cobblers will tell us that the CWU are obstructing change and will impose everything by Executive Action.
We need to keep the pressure on until we get an agreement. :lfo :cfo

Any period of calm or curtailing of strike action will mean the union has broken its agreement with their members. There will only be an agreement when our votes have been counted, either to accept or refuse the offer.
