He says that as well - I don't believe him either.
If we are all in it together - why don't we get bonuses on the same lines as managers.

We as a work force have royal mail by the the balls if we could stick together but this will never happen. so we will allways get walk on, One upon a time the cwu did have some power but that's all gone now. All the doms will be laughing at us mugs as they go to get there bonus. I bet my dom going to get £10,000 grand he got £7,000 grand last year.
There will be more flexing and less overtime to hit targets year in year out and I think we can forget about a pay rise lol .
For once we need to get some balls or we are just going to get walked on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

fishtank how can you make such sweeping inaccurate statements, ours used to have a McDonalds breakfast, the local tesco cafe was to far to walk.

Is that actually true?jaxx wrote:The profits will be at least £400 million, because if they are not, then the managers don`t get their bonus - and we all know that`s never gonna happen.

Re: 300~400M £ Profit ?
Yes, Royal Mail call it the `Profit Gateway`. The Managers Bonus Scheme states that in order to pay a bonus a profit has to made. The `Profit Gateway` is that target. This year`s was set at £400m - they announced £403m. Last year`s was set at £210m - they announced £211m. Anybody see a pattern developing here? I believe the profits are much higher but they only need to announce enough to trigger their bonus payment which they will receive in their June salaries.Edward Hunter wrote:Is that actually true?jaxx wrote:The profits will be at least £400 million, because if they are not, then the managers don`t get their bonus - and we all know that`s never gonna happen.

Of course, management greed, bound to happen, will continue to happen, for now.. Bring on privatisation I say, just so I can see management culling - no external company would put up with or justify the number of managers as RM have - the number of them that I see scraping the barrel to try and justify their existence is amazing. Any little job be it bullying, pestering or some deluded security and safety ideas, they'll do it just to make themselves "appear" busy, when we all know the coffee machine is in overdrive.
Far too many of them (less foot soldiers now and yet there seems to be as many managers as there always has been, the figures don't stack up), cull a respectable portion of them and profits would increase dramatically.
