The CWU have now got the new program of when walk sequencing will be deployed in all areas.

The CWU are awaiting on the office by office program for delivery methods ie car derived vans.

So for some offices they will not have later Saturday finishes until walk sequencing is installed.

The issue of door to door needs planning as they have to relaunch the product and from Royal Mail"s point of view simply paying a supplement without growing the ammount of items would be a cost risk for them as if its now into workload it effects your prep and over the ground time when planning revisons.

Now in terms of the benefits being staggered , no benefits have yet been agreed. But will they be linked to units achievements well possibly as this is the union has achieved this in the past.

But this detail is still being worked up.
Why not publish the program? It is obviously no longer a secret and each unit will see when they are expected to conform and when others will be expected to conform.

As for D2Ds, if this is to affect prep and over the ground, then surely revisions can't take place until this issue has been resolved because prep and over the ground time is crucial to planning a delivery. The growth of the product too is an issue in itself, the number and especially the size of items needs to be agreed prior to any revision.

Now for rewards. We don't want any reward scheme that doesn't increase the pension pot, which is already slimmer than it was. We don't wan't any 50/50 schemes, any bonus schemes which pay one offs. We have received little enough reward over the last 3 years so the next three should clearly be a pre-determined percentage rise. The figure should be quite easy to determine because RM must have a savings figure in mind for the next 3 years and so the % rise will be in direct proportion to that.
