I am sure its true! After all their is bound to be a glut of idiots that want less pay. less sick pay, not know if they have a job the day after, treated like cr*p by the employer, little or no pension and the usual abuse faced by temps on a daily basis because the employer can get rid off them on a whim. And as for the DSS people working if you aint willing to do something about the many you know then you obviously except and condone it so why are you moaning about it? I am sorry but i cant take anyone seriously who moans and yet does NOTHING its as bad as those that dont vote but moan about the subject after! They have no credibility! For the record i dont care if some young mum does a few hours work cleaning or something to put a bit of food on the table so would ignore it, But if i ever had the misfortune to know of a BMW driving chav with all the bling claiming whilst never having done a days work then watch how fast i would be on the phone! Those type are parasites the same as the UKs bankers and such and deserve all they get!

As is increasingly the case, assumptions rule the day in your domain Agent but depth, no. Wearing your class status like a war time medal may swell your bosom with pride but no one else cares and Mandelson will merely sneer at anything that likes to see itself as some kind of tinplate god. Get real.axeman wrote:It does seem as if you think just because someone wears a duffel coat they are of a lower class that yourself ? or is it just because they have a self belief and wont be pushed around by the likes of what you stand for

He is David Stirling the founder of the SAS (note cap badge on peaked hat). In the "Duffle Photo he is talking to 2 members of the LRDG (Long Range Desert Group) a British motorised recon unit that operated deep in the desert.
Wish I was even 10% of that scrounger

Too true, although I'll bet he would have horrified to have been mentioned in the same thread as some dopey political idealists/extremists.
Turning up to wind up situations, and then disappearing very quickly when action or even effort was called for, was certainly NOT his style, thankfully.

What an over-sensitive bunch. Can't handle the amusing side of SWP members being labelled the duffel coated brigade. And I STILL find it funny :)

Re: britains flexible workforce
But that's the whole point, they don't.but if they care as much about others as has been alluded here then I think I would be proud to hold my head up in such company.
The SWP exists solely for the benefit and enjoyment of it's own members. They don't give a toss about the workers or employees in the companies or organisations they "target" with thier past-it's sell-by rhetoric, other than to see them as pawns to be used in some vision of "the class struggle" they endlessly play out.
I well remember back in the Thatcher era standing on a cold picket line when some little tw*t came up spouting his SWP drivel, and a huge Glaswegian boiler-maker literally throwing this w**ker across the pavement.
If I could do the Glaswegian accent I would, but he basically said "You're happy to turn up now, but where are you at 3 o'clock in the morning when we need a cup of tea, or when do you make collections for the striker's families, or organise pickets, etc." All things the local union branches WERE doing, along with the local Labour Party, the local Trades Club and the rest.
As always, the little middle class twerps and students who comprise the SWP talk a good fight, but that's all it is, just mindless talk, and contributing nothing and doing nothing for the very people they claim to reach out to. Still, some will always be taken in, I suppose...

Quite funny that teaman can remember quite distincly them turning up bringing warm tea and food at our late night vigil in the recent strikes have you ever thought they might not like you ? quite posible as your rhetoric is one of management distasteful as that may be
