can't believe people actually voted FOR this crock of shite !!! mind you nobody voted for the way forward did they? all i can say is i must work with a lot of people who tell lies!!!!! hold your heads in shame hayes and ward, i for one will never support you pair of bastards ever again.

now the fun begins for royal mail and there is not a thing you can do about it !!!!! we might as well all find other jobs now. to all the people who voted yes ..........

im presuming the people who have voted for this are people in mail centres and mdecs,dont think any delivery postie in his right mind would have voted for this sham of an agreement, thanks lovejoy for letting us know the result and all other info we find out of you before anyone else, very much appreciated.

VERY dissapointing result

...i was sure it was gonna be a no. Its probably rigged anyway..at the end of the day there gonna do whatever they like regardless of what we say.

I've been told only 80,000 voted in total, and that just over 51,000 voted yes and nearly 29,000 voted no!!!!!!!
Do 50,000 really not care what the future holds for them or will the truth come out (missing papers etc.)

I'm tempted to leave these 50,000 to it and get a proper job. Let them reap what they sow. 5 years from now half the posties will be temp contract polish workers. the job and the service to customers is in a downward spiral.

I don't think you are alone. On a purely personal note, in my DO the rep and his no.2 have already stated their intention to pack in their membership given this outcome. They did this to allow any possible replacements time to sus out the role, there were no takers. A sad day but it does appear that our office will become non-union, bet it's not the only one.

Perhaps some ballot papers were diverted to the backlog warehouse....
