Shock I cant support the 48 Hour walk out - well I wont loose 4 days pay.

Why

Unfortunately I am on holiday on Monday - However I will be on picket line with me mucker's and I will cough up for any food/booze they want - unless all 300 turn up.

I will also be turning up at 4:45 on Wednesday to show my support in spirit over the later starts. Am I mad

Your not mad mate, your just one of thousands of members who have made the decision that it is now or never!!

I reckon support will be quite strong in delivery offices, but mail centres and network 50/50 (hope I`m wrong here), too much complacency, too many people thinking only of themselves.

A scab's, a scab. Where's he been then, that no other postal worker's been? .............. NOBODY can afford to lose four days pay, everyone has to
put food on the table, provide a roof over the heads of their families. The difference between people like lager chimp, and the 100,000 plus heroes and
heroines who'll be on the lines / at home on strike days, is that most of us aren't stupid to realise that the short term pain of losing four days pay can in
no way whatsoever, compare to the long, very long term pain that wealthy men like Leighton & Crozier want to inflict on us, if, if thanks to people like
the man whose defence you jumped to, we lose this fight. The choice for all postal workers is a stark one, either short term pain for long term gain, or
short term gain for long term pain, how anyone in their right mind would opt for the latter of the two, annoys the hell out of me. :mad

Scab

Post by semacsorter »

You might call them a Scab i take it the right to one's personal choice no longer exists in your eyes and that the bully boy tactics used by some is what you prefer !! if you feel that the only way you can win is by theese tactics then perhaps a country like Burma is the place for you. If you and the likes of you are fighting for your rights !! Good for you, but at least give the people who dont agree the obportunity to do what they want, without being bullied or threatened by those who have reaped the benefits of many years of union domination ! even your leaders have realised that the old days are over.
This is still a democratic country last time i looked bully boy tactics are better represented by black shirts not blue !!!

respect what you are saying but if they belong to the union they have agreed to go with the majority they had the choice to vote and THE MAJORITY voted for strike action so they should stop whinging and honour that.
