"apart from the pensions it won't affect us" is like saying apart from having our bollox cut off it won't affect us. the pensions alone is reason to walk for as long as it takes.

2007 pay bulletin number 106

STRIKE DATE DETAILS
Official notice has now been given to Royal Mail for next weeks strikes. We can confirm that talks are taking place but the union must press ahead with the naming of dates so that the pressure is kept on Royal Mail.

Explained in very simple terms the agreed action below means the following for each shift –

Early Shift / Deliveries
Strike action , Friday, Saturday, Monday, Tuesday

Late Shift
Strike Action, Thursday, Friday, Monday, Tuesday

Night Shift / half nights
Strike Action, Thursday, Friday, Monday, Tuesday – Work as normal for Sunday SAs,

Weekend Shift
Strike Action for shifts starting pre 12noon

The confirmation of the actual times for action now makes attendance at WEDNESDAYS GATE MEETINGS ABSOULUTELY VITAL. We have put out more information than any other branch in the Country and we all know what is at stake. We are looking at 4 days pay now for long term gain later. It is impossible to put a value on the price of our pensions and jobs.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
