Just as i thought. As soon as the W---ers get up the top of the tree, they shite on those down below. Do you feel history repeating itself! What we need to do is chop the bloody tree down!

Yes i totally agree, the union should announce strike dates NOW and then table their offer to royal mail, rather than let them llook over it for six months because lets not forget this has really been going for that long, so come on CWU show some balls and sort it

You are all a bit gung ho for my likeing.If October 8th is the date set for implimentation of the early starts i would say that is a good date to kick it all off with the rolling action.What you need to realize is that alot of the rank and file have their heads in the sand, are very short sighted and some will not even be aware of the new RM proposals yet! I agree that the union has been slow letting members know the full extent of the proposals but am hopefull that support should be just as strong given how disasterous the future will be if Big brothers, sorry Royal mails vision is implimented.
IMO one of the main things to ensure is this dispute is kept to OFFICIAL IA, Its hard enough to keep some people on board for the rolling action, all out may well be "a bridge too far" for the less commited.

If we allow Royal Mail to implement executive action and pussy foot along with rolling action we may as well turn off the lights and go home. Those that think its a bridge too far had best read their proposals because the jobs finished and the weak can stand by while the rest stand up to the playground bullies.

Preferbally not!

Elected MP is fine, i would welcome Billy on the back benches and he would make a usful addition to the CWU group of MP's. I dont think the postal membership (based on the views of members in my office) would be very impressed if he went into a goverment post. AJ has left them too cynical

I don't want to sound alarmist but someone who has been to a meeting today with a Divisional Rep, and this lad is not given to flights of fancy, rang me about a half hour ago with what sounded like some of the provisional proposals the union is going to RM with and believe me he was in a bit of sweat. I don't know if he had the wrong end of the stick but he was talking about D2Ds being shrink wrapped together - he said up to 15 for which no payment would be received. I'd heard the shrink wrap theory before when RM was talking 3 for 5 but it hasn't been mooted since, until today. There was also, he said, no indication that any strike dates had been or were going to be set any time soon.

If no payment for door to dustbin , i would hope that a suitable rise in basic pay will hapen.

If all the door to dustbin items are together all ready for us then i personally havent a problm wit that subject to suitable renumeration and a weight on delivery solution in place.

While on the topic of D to D i have a feeling RM will keep them going throughout the entire xmas period under their flexible working plans with RM thinking that all the time we make could be used to manage them?

I wouldnt put it past them, would you?

Yes excellent idea they could shrink wrap saga and NT mags too, so much easier we could pay say twenty pounds per week for the convenience of shrinkwrapping
