LOL....

The area where you have the calciferous tendonitis is it fully healed, in that I mean it is old scare tissue/calcium deposits and not just a new unhealed area?

If it is an old issue then some light light stretching will help but if new not a good idea..

Another *theory* is to avoid all calcium containing foods so that the body has to *scavenge* the calcium from the area(s) afflicted...

Few tips for fellow posties.....

Drink 2-3 litres water daily as this will keep you hydrated and leave plenty of fluid available for joints, conective tissues and spinal discs ect.. Up the amount to 3-4 litres during warm-hot periods...ie summertime...

Also sip water don`t chug it back...

Old trick for keeping joints healthy is to have daily doses of gelatin or as we call it *jelly* use the sugar free stuff and have a good serving daily...

For those that use glucosamine sulphate, make sure that you are taking 1000-2000mgs per day with 1000-2000mgs of cod liver oil, seperate the doses up and have a good 500mls (half pint) of water with each dose as Glucosamine can cause localised dehydration. You have to keep taking it daily without fail for a full 8 weeks solid to get the best longterm effect out of it...NO MISSING DOSES.... If pregnant I would be cautious about using Cod Liver Oil.... Also with the C.O.D. it is good practise to have a week or two off it every couple of months as certain vitamins it contains can build up inside the body.

Please remeber these are only tips, suggestions off what I do and have gleened from various sources.. I am by no way a fully qualified doctor....

Beer is mostly water so how much beer should I drink to retain healthy joints :nana :nana :dance :dance

Thanks as well, but after extensive study i have concluded that the quality of my joints suffers a marked decline in direct propotion to the amount of beer ingested. :Very Happy
