The CWU are doing this 10yrs to late.Times have changed,and as for flexibility,I already do that.So all this rubbish about flexibility,its already working in my office,wth the tacit agreement of the union.

You work in a mail centre, they want total flexibility that means with just 24 hrs notice then can change your shift or send you to a DO to do a delivery without any local knowledge. Flexibility is probably coming but we want safeguards is that too much to ask for.

I have been in the job nearly 20yrs,no strike has ever won us anything.As to being sent out on delivery,I think I would need retraining.In our office,we have people who have never done deliveries,are they gonna spend time retraining us all,I think not.They would maybe swap us onto another shift,but I certainly cant do that as I have childcare to think of.

I dont trust either side.We get played off,one against the other.This is a no win,been there,seen it,done it,and got the t-shirt.I am not going to lose anymore money.

Please be our guest, go into work. But remember that you will be getting the benefits our striking has brought when it is all over... that will probably help pay the mortgage. Brommhamahtter what ever your trouble is stop thinking of your self line up a cozy meeting with your DUM or Dim and find out how family freindly he is I give you a clue Could Not Give a Toz. You think your going to get lined up a pretty task post an update when your walking a 4 half hour delivery with six door to door for sod all, finishing at 1430 hrs.Think Royal Mail are bothered about your family issues.
