It just so happened I asked about the price of food/sweets/drinks and percentage of ticket sales (as you do). He said that a minimum of 80% of the ticket sales went to the film distributor... so no wonder you pay something silly like £3 for a bag of sweets
Before the post I worked in the cinema. Some movies, all the revenue from tickets, after tax, goes to the distributor. Especially biggies like harry Potter or LOTR. It may be as long as 8 or 12 weeks before the cinema gets any revenue from tickets. ET ran for 49 weeks. When it was taken off the cinema was still handing over 60% of ticket receipts.

someone did this for the guy who runs Beaver Sports in your neck of the woods on another forum

http://www.thespoof.com/news/spoof.cfm? ... e=s6i21527 there's a few in that vein on that site , it's the old lady buying Leeds at the car boot sale one

you did actually win the old second division in 69-70 but went straight down I think ? , my dad saw them at Anfield , I think the Donkey Lashers went out of the 1st Division for good around that time .

There was some" scandal " when Blackpool put West Ham out of the cup , apparently Bobby Moore and co went to Brian London's club in Blackpool , Blackpool had a few good players like Tony Green , Wyn Davies etc who went on to Newcastle Utd .There's a pub in Poulton -Le -Flyde that though it's more a ra-ra ( rugby union ) pub , it has all these signed pictures of them on the wall.

Tony Green was my mates maths teacher .
