I have been saying for over a year that RM is technically bankrupt.

The FT has just confirmed this.

Any other company with such unpayable liabilities would be under serious investigation.

NOW comes the privatisation "lifesaver"....

Any private company in such dire straits as royalmail would have sacked the C.E.O :cfo not rewarded him!. THIS IS THE ONE REASON TO KEEP GOING TO SEE THIS BASTARD :cfo OUT THE DOOR BEFORE ME! .

I could quote european rules that state the Royal Mail is actually a blamange with syrup topped custard and build a legal case for it to be entitled to a raspberry topping but only if it were payed for from private sector funds.

The government chooses the european laws to adhere to that suits its needs.Rm is not a privately floated company,full stop.

to-day it was released in the press that britain pays the lowest old age pension in europe.

We have just had remembrance Sunday - check the war widows pension between our victorious army and the German army - frightening!

Yes it`s scandalous. All war widows should get a decent pension whichever country they`re from, their husbands paid the ultimate price.

may end up turning the clockback to the years of Old Women scrubbing steps , Parish Relief & Workhouses .

Read IN the Times on Sunday french railworkers striking in defence of their pensions. WAIT for it how thick are we ,they are defending their contracted right to retire at 50 on a full pension;I 'm growing increasingly fond of our Gallic cousins.
As an aside our unbiased objective BBC news described this part of the railworkers contract as a "PERK"
