This could be good news regardless. why do you think dumber & dumber don't want the GOV. involved because questions will now be asked about their plans and people will start to see through them, i saw a report on ITV News today and even they are starting to dismiss RM's plans KEEP THE FAITH because i really think today could be a turning point and people are starting to see are side of things.

I've not seen the report but if they are just saying the gov should intervene that's not necessarily backing us, they might want pressure put on us to back down rather than puting pressure on good old Alan . . . . hope I'm wrongstressed wrote:40 Labour MP's table commons motion urging government to intervene in the postal dispute.

Its about time the Government have finally made a move, albeit a small one at the moment... We have an ex union top dog in Alan Johnson (health secretary i think) sat there in Browns' Cabinet who has said sod all about anything to do with the strike... Prob scared of speaking out of turn and losing your cushie number eh Al ??? Or now you are on the other side, have you forgotten everything you fought for over the years!!! We are waiting.......

Mobilising MPs - Contact Details for MPs
Great idea to thank the MPs who have signed the motion - is it an Early Day Motion does anyone know?
Another thing is we should be emailing our own MPs and asking them to look at the case we have - stress that this isn't a pay issue - address the flexibility and pensions issues and make sure you explain how we are trying to defend RM services for the public.
I have included a link which gives contact details for every MP: http://www.parliament.uk/directories/hciolists/alms.cfm
Get everyone you know to email their MP, speak to colleagues, family, friends and contacts in other unions - let's get our shoulder to the wheel and keep pushing - our waggon is rolling and we are on our way to winning.

I wonder if Alan Johnson's name is on the list, I doubt it with the shite his so called Health Dept are in, I'm off to the hospital in the news tomorrow for an appointment, I hope he'll be there for a publicity stunt, cause I'll have a few things to say to him! and it won't be about the health service!
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

Scuttle the strikes and we'll look after you
I read in Private Eye's HP Sauce who was financing Turncoat Johnson's deputy leadership bid -people like Lord Sainsbury , Property Tycoons -Builders are true blue tories to the bone , not much H&S there or union influence , look what they did to Ricky Tomlinson , even the so called left wing candidates had some dodgy backers . Usual greased palm deals with New Lie-bour . All that I'm from a council estate /ex-postie rubbish from Johnson credentials .k66yla wrote:I wonder if Alan Johnson's name is on the list, I doubt it with the shite his so called Health Dept are in, I'm off to the hospital in the news tomorrow for an appointment, I hope he'll be there for a publicity stunt, cause I'll have a few things to say to him! and it won't be about the health service!
Geraldine Smith did wipe the floor with Lie-ton on those appalling unprofessonial letters that the Courier said he'd numerous e-mails and letters in support of . I gave mine to a TUC Lecturer as a how not to from the dark days of the 80's demonstration aid . :lfoShe did work for POL but she has to watch her arse if she tells New Liebour what she really thinks otherwise she'll be permantly on the very back benches or deselected .
