I wrote to that man once, a while ago and not about RM.
He ignored my letter, he never sent even a polite acknowledgement.....
(I wasn't being nasty, just asking a question about something he said)
That was rude I thought
But he's the only person who seems to appreciate how important RM is in the democratic process. There can't be an election if we're not working, he's right there, and he should put pressure on Gordon Brown to put up the money to preserve the public service we provide.

What's the odds on Hayes agreeing to this!"I asked them to give an unqualified assurance that no industrial action of any sort will be taken during the period of a general election."
I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Heres a democratic idea for the CWU that'll fall on deaf ears. Aint it time they stop supporting the Labour party an instead saved there money for the workers they apparently represent. GIVE US A VOTE. f**k Labour im voting left ring ( Lib Dem or BNP or UKindependance) Those parties would never have de-regulated the uk market.
THINK ABOUT IT, i could be wrong but im probably right.

Our democratically voted upon ballot came first. We should not stop what we are doing to allow management a window of opportunity. There are options. Brown, as can all the other politicians whom think they have chance at the top job, can personally get on the blower to Lazier and Dozier and tell them to pull their thumbs out and start negotiating if they feel they in a winning mood or they can wait. There is always the option of the private firms having a go but that is like giving casuals the work to do. Weeks later when the elections are over they will find the leaflets in someones front garden under bush.

Failed Tories
They did try and privatise the PO and ruined the Railways. 5 times more subsidy than BR now.cruisey wrote:Someone wants to educate that pompus tory bastard in what democracy is. We are executing our democratic right to strike under the labour laws of our great nation. The tories can get fecked cos they'd privatise us quicker than Gordon 'Thatcher' Brown and his bunch of toads.

And don't forget bus deregualtion. Anorther cock-up which now means you can wait 45 minutes in a large city for a bus to turn up once it turns 6 pm, and if you live in a rural area, forget it.norbet colon wrote:They did try and privatise the PO and ruined the Railways. 5 times more subsidy than BR now.cruisey wrote:Someone wants to educate that pompus tory bastard in what democracy is. Perverse Politics
That does make sense as bar the liberals ,they're Euro-Sceptic and the move towards the right in Europe means Brussels calls the tune .Nicholas Ridley said You can wave your social conscience goodbye about Bus Regulation . The Tories reckoned that the likes of Ribble & Crosville ( Part of the National Bus Company ) were too big and private Enterprise was the answer . Within months there was bus wars with clapped out old buses racing each other to stops, but enventually there was a monopoly with about three frms like Last Group, Stagecoach etc , after that those bus companies took the Train Franchaises on . Southern Rail was actually a state run firm because Connex were that dreadful and lost the franchaise , but Blair got rid of the railway people and appointed outside industry people to run the trains and put the trains out to franchaise again; although it was costing 2-3 less in Subsidymoon71 wrote:Heres a democratic idea for the CWU that'll fall on deaf ears. Nicholas Ridley also said Why should the Duke pay more than the Dustman ? re Poll Tax . There was the little problem of Poll Tax Riots -sort of Peasant's Revolt if you like, then the coup to get rid of Baroness Barmy; to save their sorry skins or at least to Black Tuesday. They'd that many dodgy dealings in these "backward" third world countries so it was logical for them to operate like Tin-pot Dictators in Banana Republics .
RM with their best practice Diversity & Inclusion Policy had a black casual delivering BNP leaflets out of PDO South .RM were up to their necks in "bedding in issues " with SDD , some staff were on 5 days , some on 6 .

Niether will I. The CWU always supported those of us who refused to deliver fascist election material. It will be interesting to see if we get the same CWU support when we refuse to deliver election material from the party which has betrayed it.bristolchris wrote:Yes he has lost his nerve, but I for one will not forget when an Election is called, I will not deliver any Labour Election material, as is my right. Thank you Mr Brown for your Support!
