Rcvd my copy today and I must say that it now seems to me that Royal mail would like nothing better than make every single postperson leave there jobs. Very sad indeed.
If we don't make a stand now, just imagine what they will want next year and the next and the next. What will it be like in ten years time. 6 hours prep, 12 hour delivery spans, 4 hours unpaid overtime, starting 2 hours early and staying 2 hours late, oh s***, I'm 2 hours late for my next shift. Don't laugh, it won't be far from the truth. Anyone remember the Monty Python sketch, I think it was called the 4 Yorkshire Men, like that but for real.

Thanks TBT, I think in 20 years we'll be saying that in reverse.
"Used to get up at half past three in morning to get to work for half past four. Have a laugh and a joke with my mates as we got on with job, money wasn't great then but better than now, boss was firm but fair, came up from the ranks he did, got treated with respect, loved the job." Tell that to the youth of today, they won't believe you!"
Imho CWU should not even contemplate talks with AL +AC ,there is no basis for trust: Five weeks of sham negotiations and last years agreement torn up tells me all I need to know.
A precondition of any talks should be the the immediate removal of those two .

You're absolutely right. They've got no honour and Billy and Wardy made the mistake of thinking they had when they met them last month.
