This time around Labour will concentrate on the middle classes, the move at labour conference to stifle union clout and ensure that conference can no longer embarrass the ruling government. Those who believe that labour is the workers party should look at the record. The TUC are just a talking shop who blindly ignore the betrayal of the workers of this country by labour. Child poverty (Joseph Roundtree Trust Report) up, anti trade union laws still inplace after 10 YEARS, bribes to Saudi Arabia not investigated by SFO on orders from this labour government, coroporate manslaughter watered down so no boss actually goes to prison, gun crime on the increase, choice of schools for those who can afford to drive their children to the best schools, tax cuts that turn out to be tax increases for the workers but the rich pay less, disabled employees of REMPLOY told not working hard enough and their jobs taken away, the illegal wars, telling the world that Mugabe and others are bad then sending people back to those countries, children out of control maining and killing, knives still on sale, gun manifacturers still selling to the highest bidder, worst of all the pension theft of the workers, labour's being in charge for 10 years and now most of the final salary pension schemes have been closed yet the country is richer than ever and I don't see the bosses pensions being reduced or for that fact the MPs and the list goes on. But don't worry Gordon knows best.
The leaders of the unions looking forward to their government positions or seats in the lords will make noises but know their place. Time for a change campaign for a new worker party would be a start. Rant over

Time for a new workers' party!
The newly merged union Unite is leading a lobby of the Labour Party conference on Sunday 23 September. A whole list of grievances will be presented to the Labour leadership in defence of the rights of working people. But millions of trade union members will rightly be asking 'How can the big unions still remain handcuffed to New Labour in the face of its pro-business agenda?
The last week has seen these union general secretaries correctly denouncing Brown for his 'meet and greet' session with Thatcher. This disgusted generations of workers, from ex-miners and steelworkers to postal workers and civil servants. Totally aware of this, union leaders have rushed out statements attacking Brown. Yet the very same leaders refuse to carry those sentiments through to their logical conclusion - stop giving millions of our union subs to New Labour and launch a new mass workers' party!
Brown meeting Thatcher is the logical conclusion of the New Labour project, transforming it into an openly big-business party. Brown, and Blair before him, are the heirs to her legacy, making Britain a place where the rich and powerful can prosper at the expense of millions of working-class people suffering from the effects of privatisation and the rest of the neo-liberal agenda.
Thatcher called the miners 'the enemy within' and now Brown views the whole trade union movement with the same distain. Brown wants to abolish the right of Labour Party conference to vote against the government on policy. He plans to end the opportunity for unions and constituency delegates to vote on so-called contemporary motions, shuffling off controversial issues to private sessions of the machine-dominated national policy forum. New Labour democracy has been an oxymoron for years now and this latest move is just another nail in the coffin of Labour as a party that workers can have any influence over. We need to break the link and build a new party that can fight in our interests and which we can have a real say over the policies and campaigns of.
Of course, New Labour prime minister, like Thatcher herself, are war leaders as well. Millions live in poverty but billions are spent in the illegal war and occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan.
Tens of thousands of miners and steelworkers were sacked by Thatcher just as Brown announced over 100,000 civil servants losing their jobs live on TV when he was chancellor. Yet the union leaders have been doing their best to try and persuade us that Brown is different to Blair. In reality, he is part and parcel of the New Labour regime. Why do we need to waste more time and money? We need to cut the link with Labour now!
On 17 October, the unions will be lobbying Parliament to put pressure on to get the Trade Union Freedom Bill passed. These are the same laws that were used to defeat the miners and the printers at Wapping. Yet 27 years later, the anti-trade union laws remain, even after 10 years of a Labour Government. Surely, if Labour MPs don't deliver yet again, the penny must drop! Let's cut the links and launch a new party that can bring together the millions that have opposed this government, from trade unionists to anti-war protestors to anti-NHS cuts campaigners, and give working class people the political voice the deserve.

It is as if he wanted to discover how far he can go before the affiliated trade unions - which provide most of the Labour party’s funds - decide that they have had enough. The results must reassure him: they will tolerate any level of abuse. Turkeys led by chickens, they will never stop voting for Christmas.
His government of all the talents has room for no professional trade unionist. But it does contain their sworn enemy. The new minister for trade and investment, now responsible for much of the policy that will affect union members, was not just the head of the Confederation of British Industry; he was the most neanderthal boss the CBI has ever had. Digby Jones campaigned to freeze the minimum wage, neuter the EU’s working time directive, block corporate killing laws, promote privatisation, cripple environmental rules, curtail maternity leave. Of the unions he said, “they are an irrelevance. They are backward looking and not on today’s agenda.â€

Then there is the support Labour has given to the Uribe government in Colombia, where 500 trade unionists have been murdered by government sponsored fascist militias in the last few years. Labour gave Uribe £10 Billion in 2003 as well as giving them arms and helicopter parts and sending SAS advisors. Lord Billy sends Labour a big fat cheque to keep them in power, and then has articles published in The Voice denouncing the Colombian government for attacking trade unionists. Wake up Billy lad!

I will NOT vote for Brown, this is the Man who put us under the biggest Tax burden ever, Robbed us of our Old Age, throwing money at Nothern Rock while ignoring 125,000 pensioners (and getting fewer) of crashed Pensions schemes, he had avoided the naked Pensioners in Bournemouth, He refused to speak to them, This man is Shameless, the money spent on this war could have paid for it, many times over, I wear the Green Kit and support the Army out there, Iraq is a waste of time, Afgahnistan had clear war aims , Iraq is just a muddle, we should bring them home asap not acting like a fig 11 for the Flip Flops.
I will be voting Tory just so I can get a hung parliament, or even Lib Dem, I will see how it goes................just NOT LABOUR while this Scottish windbag is in charge.
