-Royal Mail's Plan B -Plan A was the Victorian Millowner , when you all came back to work , this is the shafting you'd get , if RM had softened you all up & knocked the stuffing out of you all , if they hadn't got rid of you by thier usual underhand means , you'll be quite happy to take the bare minimum redundancy terms as laid down by the Dept for Employment which is between 1 to 1 1-2 weeks for every year of service . RM have to give you reasonable time to look for alternative employment .TrueBlueTerrier wrote:Al and Adam (Rest in Pieces)
Secondly it's all about RM's management , their "solution" for being lampooned as layabouts standing over you all and filling in Hours recorded sheets is Team Working ,which has been rejected in previous ballots in a slightly different guise .
There has been no adjustments for DDA covered staff, the Working Time Regulations 1998, RM can't force you to work more than 48hrs on average as much as they'd like to. RM know that , it's deliberately divisive & destructive , it suits them and sidelines the CWU.
RM are deliberately challenging people to take them to ET's but this like having your house burgled and being told to sue the burglar without involving the Police . This will cause trouble amongst the different grades , increase Racial Tension etc , there will be more B&H cases , classic divide & rule especially with the enforced 13hr shifts . As for getting rid of Beaurocracy and The We ( The Royal We?!) are all in this together spin, it's turning the clock back 80-100 years , you'll start when it's dark and go home when it's dark and we'll make you grateful you have a job !.The flexibility is one sided ,all take and no give and contrary to the sweeteners offered for this flexibility you won't get anything off RM ,just job and more job ,all on the cheap to cut the overtime bill . None of the targets offered can be met as there's too many strings , just a load of red herrings for mugs.
