SWINDON WAR COUNCIL

Post by BELIAL »

Only one reason obviuosly for this powwow- Here's how we will successfully prosecute this action to smash the union and break all resistance.

My guesses for strategy are

1 In the build up to IA ,identify and isolate the militants/activists

2Use all available methods to achieve this, conduct attendance ,safety B+H: doesn,t matter if they don't stick just scare and preoccupy them, frighten weaker members.

3 Take every opportunity to re assert control and authority, play harball and give no quarter.

4 If possible push for walkouts, if we achieve enough of these we get an all out which is what we've planned for.

Any more?

Perhaps the DOMs will be told that Royal Mail is to be sold off to TNT or DHL, this being the only practical way they can (a) quickly cut us all down to the national minimum wage, just as the WHSmith frachise is doing for our Crown Post Office colleagues, and (b) marginalise the CWU.  And of course it will all be our own fault for not accepting the generous offer they made to us recently.

Anyone else heard about this?
SWINDON ??

Quite appropriate choice of venue for Royal Mail to use, when you consider the TV series "The Office" was set there.

A total knob-head who believes his own bullshit, who insults his own staff, has a very dodgy mate, and a talent for wearing embarrasing shirts.

But that's enough about our leader. Can anybody remember what that character David Brent was like ?

Maybe he's going to drive off the stage on a Harley again,
Or get them to hug an inflatable banana and pledge allegiance to it.

No, that was Slough, not Swindon ( but both are down south and begin with 'S')

Can anybody remember what that character David Brent was like ?-Leighton's been playing that game for some time now , he gets his DOMs in on a rota basis and at first it was like Nuremborg trying to stir up hatred against the CWU . Before anyone jumps down my throat , on a SUPERFICIAL level , Leighton is good at Presentations & Motivation , he needs the likes of SMs , DOMs as his mouthpieces and RM want thier battle on THIER terms which is the Thatcher/ McGregor V Scargill one and that means the Victorian Millowner one . If he can force the efficency /flexibility stuff through he can't have his junior managers getting cold feet with all the aggro kicking off.

Perhaps he is telling them that they will be the new team leaders and that if they cant force us to do summer lapsing, and all the other stuff, that they have to do it themselves.

-think that'll make CMA/Amicus wake up from thier slumbers -Leighton only backed down on them all having to reapply for thier own jobs as he needed them onside for IA . Welcome to the real world !, point is would they trust this mars bar salesman ? . This happened in another Industry -TSSA member managers were only too happy to take the money as the frequent complaint was " I can't work with these idiots in charge"-the idiots being Senior Management .The Irony is that CMA/AMICUS new leadership is quite left wing , thier leaders complain of RM's "We know best " arrogance and some are sick of Leighton. A lot of managers left/won't join CMA/AMICUS as the complaint was 'they don't /didn't do anything for us ".
