It would be true to say that deliveries probably are not the majority section within the union as a whole but they will be on a vote for this agreement and so in this case they will have the final say - if enough of them bother to vote.

In answer to the question as to what we should do in the event that it appears to be a three legged race with us being the third leg, I'm afraid I don't know the answer to that. What is evident though is that the longer the gulf endures then the fewer members will remain and actually recruiting new members will be virtually impossible.

Here is one scenario where the membership of the CWU is so diverse and the membership for Royal Mail is below a realistic figure for the CWU to claim to be negotiating for the membership employed by Royal Mail.
