The good news is all those above me are 40's, 50's and 60's so If I stay long enough there is a very good chance I will be the most senior person in the D.O before I retire. :dance
Before you retire you will probably be the only Royal Mail employee in your DO :chuckle Think of it, H&S Rep, IR Rep, Sub Rep elected unopposed every year, smallest walk in the DO..........................

Don't go jumping the gun fishtank :Very Happy , that will be Phase IV and a bit - there is already talk of a super DO - which would be about 360 strong - just imagine the savings, 1 callers office, 1 book room, 1 locker, combined collections. Not that I'm in favour of them, but there is certainly a case for the very small offices to be amalgamated with their nearest DO. I don't know what size we are talking but it would certainly enable a greater control over staff.

About 15 yrs ago I worked in a DO that wanted to amalgamate with another office to make it a super Dooper DO about 200 plus delivery people, but because one office was very strong union orintated RM decided not to do it , these offices were only 3 miles apart.these offices were in the East Sussex area

Essex Mum :cool
