Just part of the strategy though. Very crude and clunky but also very effective.
No matter how glaringly inaccurate the the story or how distorted the facts the key is to repeat the lies over and over and over again. Hey presto ,some will fall for it ,some will give credibility by giving reasoned opposition. The distortion becomes part of accepted thinking and is endowed with legitimacy even through the act of well intentioned rebuttal . If it didn't work they wouldn't do it.

As a postie i am disgusted by the CWU letter. The unions Ward and Hayes should resign now, They have sold members (and the public) down the river. A strike free christmas they said. This i am told is all about London again and we all have to suffer. They are forcing local union reps to be militant and advise members to strike.
They have been saying if you dont strike, watch your car, it may get damaged. We want to work but how can we with such intimidation?
The union cries about bullying but it is them doing it. Bullying members to vote yes and now bullying members to stay out on strike days.
The union is intent on losing the last bit of public support. Christmas is the worst time to strike, both for customers and posties.
Ward and Hayes, do the honourable thing and go, if you know what honourable is. Going by the letter i am not sure you do.
