I know everyone is having a joke but there is a serious point to Higson"s attack it is that once again he attempts to attack London and paint us out to be at odds with the rest of the union. it is targeted to make members think its is only about London again.

For the record there was no split on the PEC and no agreement reached. Plus we are in this together and only by standing together will we win.

It may well be that militancy elsewhere rallied the rest of the country to a National Ballot but I for one can categorically state that although far from a militant office the support for IA has been without doubt the best we have ever had in all the disputes in the last 20 years. Everyone was fed up with the executive action and bullying but lacked the leadership to do something about it. It may have been a long time coming but the tiger has been wakened, we are just hoping that the resolve to continue to a fair and just conclusion stretches as far as the PEC.
