Taking home 100k pa is pure greed and for a man supposedly representing the working man it's a total disgrace. The Prime Minister gets a similar renumeration. Does Billy have the same skills set, experience and responsibilities as a UK PM? :so there

Our Union Officers are elected, and their salaries are set by rules voted
on by our delegates at Conference, and are answerable to the membership.
:cfo is not elected, sets his own salary and bonuses and is not answerable
to anyone except the also unelected :mfo

ps I wonder how much the owner and editor of the Daily Express get paid?

Just because his renumeration package follows rules set at Conference doesn't make a salary TEN TIMES the national minimum wage any less of a bloody disgrace. I'ts totally sickening IMO.

Hayes has the prerogative to refuse an excessive wage award but he's running off with 100K a year from our wages. f**k him for that, he doesn't represent my views on renumeration and neither do CWU guidlines. :arrrghhh

I agree with you ogpat.
I think Union Officers should get the average wage of their members.
And MPs should get the average national wage.
Might encourage them to improve wages. But it's not likely to happen.
