More negotiations now but with managers negotiating on our side :cool but I hope we'll be kept informed of what's going on; please, CWU, don't keep it all secret like last time...

I wish the Royal Mail interim accounts would be published - it'd be easier to forecast RM's actions if we knew the full financial situation. I don't see why there's a delay unless the position is not as bad as RM make out (or unless there's some financial irregularity).

Surely you're not implying that Al and Adam could be the teensiest little bit dishonest! Perish the thought. We know that Al doesn't "do bu*****t" but perhaps a little creative accounting? Or maybe they're just getting the governments figures to add up to theirs.

Let's not be fooled folks. Royal Mail are proposing closing the Final Salary scheme to all of us, not just new entrants. Only years of service completed before the changes happen will be linked to final salary, future years will be linked to a "Career Defined Benefit". Now if that's not closing the final salary scheme to everyone, what is????

:lfo Useless :cfo even more useless. Wonder what Crozier's bonus will be this year?????

I filled in a ballot paper 2 weeks ago. My union rep handed them out to all members in our office and he returned them to the appropriate place. All union reps were given enough ballot papers for all members within their specific units.

I'm not implying anything... Whether it's good news or bad news in the accounts, or if someone's lost the computer disc with all the figures, Adam and Allan must know what's going on and I'd just like to know too. I don't want my pension changed, and I'm not happy with being told "this is happening whether you like it or not, because Adam and Allan say so". However, I'd like to take all the facts into account when deciding what to do about it.

Alan & Adam should do the decent thing and resign. They are hatchet men who only want to cut, cut ,cut while at the same time wrecking morale, customer service, working conditions and now our pension scheme.

Relived probably as Mugabee's party the Zanu-PF appears to have lost and his time as President is probably limited.
