after being on strike for the last 4 days tomorrow we have been told to start at 6am. i will be doing so under protest, but i just want to wait and see how many people still go in early and start throwing up their work, still use their cars and dont have a meal break. i hate to say it but i bet quite a few do in my office. maybe i will be wrong. infact now they may realise what royal mail is trying to do to us and do the job right

We started today at 6.15am, nobody went in earlier and we didn't get out of office until gone 0900.
The f*&king scab that went in every day was let out to deliver at 0700...now how's that fair???
Managers are only making the divide between us and them only further and further....

where do we finish

Post by fatboy210 »

can some body tell me in the last pay deal we were all told we finished on the street get it done and u can go home surely this sticks until an agreement is reached so why is it a knobhead like crozier can pass comment on what time we finish even though he knows nothing about running a worldwide postal service like past lot of monkeys who started to ruin this buissness.

I totally agree with you about the white flag being up at Watford today. At the 2 meetings we had today you could just see by the numbers the amount of people who had already gone out. Personally myself I think it was an absolute discrace they went out. If you are instructed by a manager to take a van then fair do's but the fact is, the people who stayed in today were told that they hadn't prep'ed enough. When asked to speak to a manager, it took 4 hours for the main man to turn round and say 'I'm not too sure why we kept you in'. Still all these people who are running around won't be laughing when they are instructed to come back to do sorting or loose their SA. There's always tomorrow.

We are our own worst enemy,if we had done our job properly the whole system would have been completley gridlocked by now, instead people have still used their cars on duty so they can get finished early, people coming in upto an hour before their start times,at my office when the missort run has landed its like Brands Hatch outside the gates as postie's race out in their cars, some full timers have been out done their own delivery, done half of another round and still finished before their 318 finish times!,workers would not have had to lose money if these people had DONE THEIR JOB PROPERLY,in my opinion most of the problems now could have been avoided if we had all done this

Thats why they can afford to strike and you never see them on the picket line

said it before. The first time management put someone comming back early, to work on another task to take them up to their duty time. THEN and ONLY then will this culture, that is so ingrained, stop. It will amaze them how long walks can take when their is no incentive!

i'm affraid the white flag has been waved higher and higher at this office over the last few days. basically the only people who are cutting off are the ones who have Time locked flats and cant get rid of them. i got back at 14:50 today and there was about 12 managers and only 4 posties. We have however just returned a yes vote for our own I/A ballot so perhaps we can move in the right direction again. :d'oh!
